Emergency on Planet Earth: Guiding Environmental Activists through Environmental Crises in an Embodied Way

From panic to power - using the wisdom of your own body to be the most effective activist you can be and stay healthy.

Dr. Emily Grossman is an internationally acclaimed science author, speaker and TV personality, with a natural sciences degree (Cambridge University) and a PhD in cancer research. Best known as a science expert on shows including Duck Quacks Don’t Echo and The Alan Titchmarsh Show, Emily also presents inspirational talks for schools, universities and live events including The Hay Festival. A passionate advocate for equality and diversity in science, Emily has delivered a TEDx talk (Why Science Needs People Who Cry) and was recently named as an Honorary STEM Ambassador for her pioneering work in education. She is the author of best-selling children’s book Brain-Fizzing Facts: Awesome Science Questions Answered - recently shortlisted for the Teach Primary Book Awards 2020. Emily has dedicated the past eighteen months of her life to raising awareness about the climate and ecological crisis. She is a co-founder of Scientists for Extinction Rebellion and lead author of Emergency on Planet Earth<>. Emily spoke at The Guardian Live’s first ever panel on climate change and has been featured as a climate communicator in The Mirror, Time Out Magazine, BBC News, BBC Radio 4 and Women’s Health Magazine.
