Psychophysiological dimensions of dysfunctional breathing and how breathing dysfunction impacts on the meditation experience

Rosalba is an osteopath, naturopath and breathing practitioner with over 40 years of experience in clinical practice. She has a PhD from RMIT University on the subject of dysfunctional breathing and has published widely in the scientific literature and published chapters in several books. She is deeply interested in all facets of breathing, seeking to combine the wisdom of ancient practice with the understanding that has come from modern scientific research. In her own research Rosalba explored the psychological, physiological and biochemical sides of breathing and developed a multidimensional model of breathing functionality to facilitate the understanding of the many ways that breathing heals. She treats patients individually and runs several programs including  Healthy Breathing Healthy Child  Functional Breathing Retraining  Breath, Mind, Body Stress Reduction Rosalba is a member of various professional bodies including the Osteopathic Research Alliance (ORA), Osteopathy Australia (OA), Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and the International Society for the Advancement of Respiratory Psychophysiology (ISARP). Rosalba holds a research position at Southern Cross University. She regularly lectures in Australia and internationally.
