Helens focus is understanding. She believes if YOU understand the ‘The Why’: the ‘What’ and ‘How’ will follow. Trauma walked into Helens London home on six little legs when she adopted a sibling group from the UK care system in the early 1990s. Since then she has explored the intersection between parenting, trauma, healing and future-proofing. In 2012 “Bubble Wrapped Children: How social networking is transforming the face of 21st century adoption” took the topic onto the front page of The Times newspaper. Published in 2019 “Want to Adopt” offers a robust preparation route to parent traumatised children. A constructive disruptor, Helen has worn many hats in the adoption and fostering world and trained globally. She continues to support parents discreetly, while publicly sharing online training, coaching, mentoring and lots of free resources for parents and professionals.
