Trauma and Social Change

Panel: Art and play as a channel for social change

Lucie Nerot is a founding member of Open Floor International, a teacher and a trainer. She has a passion for dance, the human psyche and the movement of the soul. She teaches internationally to adults and teenagers from various backgrounds, from “privileged” folks in the West to “under-priviledged” teens in the East. From the age of 18, while jumping through highly competitive hoops in the French academic world, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, seeking and transformation. Movement, breath, dance, art, energy and consciousness started a joyful invasion of her life. After journeying with Richard Moss, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Gabrielle Roth for many years, she felt ready to start sharing her passion with others and shifted careers, literally becoming a nomadic dancer and teacher for a few years. Once settled, she developed a 5 Rhythms community in France. Her next big adventure was co-creating the Open Floor school and discovering dynamic governance. Today she lives in a small French town with her partner, step kids and cat, and will resume travelling and teaching … unless our world demands otherwise!
