The Power of Relationship

Richard Freeman began studying yoga in 1968. After nine years in Asia studying yoga asana, Sufism, Sanskrit language, and Indian philosophy he worked with B.K.S. Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois and numerous Buddhist teachers to draw insights into the interfacing of Buddhism and yoga as a reflection of life. Richard’s metaphorical, humorous, teaching style appeals to students of many backgrounds and nationalities.

Mary Taylor started studying yoga in 1971. She has a deep interest in how yoga asana, meditation interface with Buddhist teachings and how contemplative practices support us through complex times and she teaches yoga and meditation in programs designed to support resiliency within medical settings. Her main asana practice is in the internal forms of the ashtanga vinyasa tradition.

Together they teach workshops and trainings online and throughout the world. They’ve authored numerous books and their most recent book, When Love Comes to Light, Ancient Wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita for Modern Life, (Shambhala Publications) has just been released.
