The Wild Walk Home: exploring the vitality of the body and the living world

A guided wander outside, engaging the five senses and using mindfulness, play and intuitive movement to connect with the body and natural world.

Sarah is a soulful adventurer, writer and guide to wild places inside and out. She is dedicated to helping people rekindle a sense of the innate wildness of their bodies and to come into an intimate relationship with the living world. Her work is highly experiential as she believes that a deep, conscious connection with nature comes best through physical interaction with it: rain, mud, wind and all. Her teaching blends mindfulness, play, ritual, storytelling and environmental education with immersive experiences in wild places. The bigger and more awe-inspiring the better. As a wilderness leader, she has trained with the best mountaineering teachers and institutions in the most remote areas of the country. As an embodiment educator, she has been taught and mentored by world-experts and draws on a ten year dance practice, more than a decade of meditation and influences from martial arts, yoga and somatic therapies. She has worked as a community member at a Buddhist retreat centre, an outdoor journalist on national magazines and a mountain leader across the UK, but her work has always centred around one thing: connecting with the wild within and without.
