Embodying Regeneration: Understanding Invasive Species and Our Role in Ecosystem Stewardship

Consider how the world we design and inhabit creates the context for invasive species, and how we can change what we do to create thriving ecosystems.

Tao Orion is the co-owner of Resilience Permaculture Design, LLC, a firm specializing in holistic farm, forest, water management, and restoration planning. She is the author of Beyond the War on Invasive Species: A Permaculture Approach to Ecosystem Restoration (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2015). She holds a degree in agroecology and sustainable agriculture from UC Santa Cruz, and grows fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, animals, and soil on her southern Willamette Valley homestead, Viriditas Farm. She serves on the Cottage Grove Planning Commission and the Lane County Climate Action Planning Committee.
