Regulatory and social connection skills for sustaining anti-oppressive and liberating environments
"Oppression, from the Latin verb opprimere, means to press against, to squeeze, to suffocate. These behaviors have been the core theme in the gradual shaping of our current social, economical, political and environmental world landscape. Nurturing a variety of conditions that are anti-oppressive and liberating also require regulatory and social connection skills for our personal and collective nervous system. We can only heal these wounds when we first perceive the world inside and outside as safe, and are willing to meet each other without the need to press against or be squeezed by. In this experiential session, you will practice and acquire some crucial tools to increase your capacity of: ‘tracking’ yours and others NS state with curiosity and receptivity, self/co/group regulatory skills, and simple but profound personal and group boundary, agency and grounding practices to support your liberation journey."
