Protecting forests and planting trees – with the help of music and arts

Forests Without Frontiers came to life after founder Nicoleta Carpineanu (aka Nico de Transilvania) recorded folkloric instruments and traditional songs of Elders in the mountains and forests of Transilvania, and was moved by their accounts of deforestation and its impacts on local people. Working in collaboration with local partners and communities, Forests Without Frontiers regenerates degraded landscapes using rewilding concepts. **I**n this session we will explore ways of promoting environmentalism and connection with nature through music, art and culture. We will discuss using creativity to bring nature back to life and people back to nature.
