Using gravity to land into the here and now and feel supported

I consider Grounding to be one of the very basic skills of well-being, deeply connected with being Here and Now. Because Gravity is something that is not happening to us yesterday or tomorrow, the attention to gravity helps us to land into the Now. Being aware of the physical circumstances we live in, helps us to land into the Here. The perception of Gravity is essential for both the psychological and physical aspects of our being. Without this perception we may lose our general feeling of being supported. Without it, we tend to organize our movement and posture, as if our body would be disconnected from the environment, compensating the lack of support by creating a structure of it's own tensions. On the class we are gonna practice Grounding by directing and resting our attention in diverse ways. We will be standing, walking, moving, sensing. You may also do this seated or lying down, if you want.
