Domestic Violence, sexual abuse and asylum seeking are unfortunately common traumas that many women carry on their shoulders. Their confidence, self esteem and body confidence are highly affected, and it’s also common that they have had their power taken from them.

Bellydance, with its womanly and gentle movements, brings the attention back to their bodies in a very safe way. The joy and sense of community that comes with the practise of bellydance also plays a big role in the healing process of trauma survivors.

In this workshop you’ll learn how bellydance can help re-establishing self confidence, self esteem and a feeling of control and ownership of their own bodies, as well as helping release intrusive thoughts and improve focus and concentration.
You’ll take home as well some clue bellydance movements and concepts.
