"We answer the call to heal our past wounds and intergenerational traumas so we can live fully in the moment” - SHE RECOVERS Intention and Guiding Principle. In this practice, we will explore how our yoga and trauma recovery journey can support our path of healing the intergenerational trauma of our family - past, present and future. In this session we will explore how Trauma Informed Yoga has its roots in authentic yoga practice. We will share some yogic tools for managing stress and trauma and explore ancient and modern systems for healing. We're not complete, until we realise we're wounded. Our community can not gather, unless we can recognise our own wounds. This is a slow, strong RA Vinyasa class for all genders, and experience levels to recognise the power in acknowledging our wounds. In particular we'll look at the wounds of our fathers, and bring light to how we can open them as a gift to the world. Polarities are everywhere. The problem is we don't normally see them, and when we do, we tend to get stuck on one side. The body is a profound place to discover, explore and embody the "both/and" wisdom of polarity - two seemingly opposing qualities, both sides of which we need if we want to live and practice fully. Come open up a new way of thinking about practice, and the world!
