How do environmental stewardship, social justice activism, and educational reform apply on the inside?
What does it mean to BE the change we want to see in the world? How might we experience our wholeness as we work for harmony when disharmony calls ever louder? More than a decade ago, a devastating illness precluded Lila from activism she dearly valued, knowing the importance of each of our voices in creating, as Charles Eisenstein calls it, “The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible”. What she learned through her journey to health changed her opinion of how she could be of service to the issues she cares about most. This presentation begins with a body awareness practice to set the ground of being, and then explores her experience revealing inner relationships in environmental stewardship, social and economic justice, educational reform, cultural relations and health care as they showed up in her body and life. The resulting invitation offers perspective and actionable exercises to live our values in subtle and profound ways, thereby amplifying the influence of any subsequent actions we are able to offer.
