Racial stress and trauma are realities that impact people worldwide. But when race-based traumatic stress is unacknowledged it remains unhealed. Right now we are witnessing a global awakening to the pandemic of racial violence and its pernicious effects on all of us, not just people of color. This global awakening provides us with a healing opportunity. The ancient art of yoga, as a therapeutic self-care practice, is ideal for reducing the emotionally and psychologically harmful effects of ethnic and race-based traumatic stress.
By calming and balancing the nervous system, learn how Restorative Yoga has the potential to support recovery from race-based traumatic stress, and lead to psychological well-being and post traumatic growth.
